Overview

Jordie Fienberg is an associate in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring group. He specialises in general commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with particular expertise in complex contractual disputes, competition law, construction and resources disputes, insolvency, insurance and professional services.

Jordie commenced his career in 2018 in a boutique commercial litigation firm where he first developed an interest in complex contractual, mining and resources disputes.

Prior to joining Campbells, he was a solicitor in the commercial litigation group at Clayton Utz in Perth, Western Australia. During his time at Clayton Utz, Jordie was involved in and advised on a range of disputes for domestic and international clients, giving him a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in Court procedure, substantive law and understanding clients’ commercial objectives.

  • Acted for NL25 company in two complex misleading and deceptive conduct claims in the Federal Court of Australia quantified at approximately AUD$4.5billion.
  • Acted in a complex contractual dispute in the Supreme Court of Western Australia Court of Appeal worth approximately AUD$340m relating to the Armada Claire FPSO.
  • Acted for NYSE listed company in the energy sector in a negligence claim in the Supreme Court of Victoria worth approximately USD$85million.
  • Acted for the Premier of Western Australia in highly publicised defamation proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia against Clive Palmer, a renowned Australian businessman with a net worth of approximately USD$2billion.
