Campbells acted as Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands legal counsel of Kimou Environmental Holding Limited (“Kimou”), the largest developer and operator of large-scale electroplating industrial parks in China, in connection with its approximately HK$332 million initial public offering and listing of its 280,000,000 shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Campbells has advised Abraaj Investment Management Limited (in provisional liquidation) (“AIML”) on its successful sale of the management rights to various Latin America focused private equity funds to Colony Capital Inc. which closed on 17 April 2019. Colony Capital, Inc. is a leading global investment management firm headquartered in Los Angeles with assets under management of $43 billion. The sale follows an extensive sales process following the appointment of provisional liquidators to AIML and its parent company, Abraaj Holdings, in June 2018.

Campbells is pleased to announce that Guy Manning, Head of our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring Group, reached the South Pole on 13 January 2019. In doing so he completed the penultimate leg of the Explorers’ Grand Slam, the challenge of climbing the Seven Summits and skiing to both Poles.
In early January, Campbells Partner Guy Manning will set off to ski to the South Pole. The expedition is the penultimate leg of Guy’s attempt to complete the “Explorers’ Grand Slam” of climbing the Seven Summits and reaching the North and South Poles.
