Sayak is a senior associate in our Corporate Department. Sayak’s experience prior to joining Campbells included working at a large international law firm in London and subsequently acting in a senior deal execution capacity for a London based asset management firm. His practice involves advising multinational corporates, private equity firms, venture capital managers, their portfolio companies, founders and management teams with respect to series financings, minority investments and control M&A transactions, capital markets transactions, joint ventures, financings and restructurings.

Sayak’s commercial approach to problem-solving and experience in working with decision makers within client organisations, informs his versatility and responsiveness and assists him in providing pragmatic, relevant and timely advice.


Work Highlights

  • Advising Avianca Group in connection with a US$1.4bn financing and corporate restructuring to result in the creation of Abra Group, a leading LatAm air transportation conglomerate, which will bring Avianca, Gol and Viva Airlines under the same holding structure.
  • Advising OmniLATAM (now KLYM) in connection with its series B financing led by IFC and JP Morgan, which raised US$27 million.
  • Acting for the joint official liquidators of the ABRAAJ Group in connection with their sale of a controlling stake in Infrastructure and Growth Capital Fund, which in turn indirectly holds Karachi Electric (PSX: KELE) to Sage Venture Group Limited.
  • Advising Brazilian brokerage, Avenue Holdings, in its sale of a minority stake to Banco Itaú for US$94m.
