Overview

Catharina is a highly regarded attorney in our Corporate Department, who leads Campbells’ fund finance practice from our Cayman Islands office. Dual qualified in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg, she provides integrated legal advice across both jurisdictions, offering clients seamless cross-border support from a US time zone.

Her practice focuses on complex financing transactions, with particular depth in fund finance. She regularly advises on subscription and capital call facilities, general partner and employee co-investment loans, NAV and hybrid facilities, and tailored credit solutions for private equity and private credit funds. Her broader experience includes rated feeder and secondaries fund structures, securities lending, aircraft financing, and a wide range of secured and unsecured credit arrangements.

Catharina is known for her commercial sensibility and global perspective, shaped by her work in major financial centers including London, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, and Luxembourg. Prior to joining Campbells, she built her career as an England and Wales-qualified solicitor specializing in corporate finance and investment funds. She is admitted as a Cayman Islands attorney and as a Luxembourg Avocat à la Cour.

Her reputation is reflected in consistent recognition by Chambers & Partners Global and IFLR1000, where she is ranked as a leading lawyer in banking and finance. In 2020, she received the Fund Finance Association’s Rising Star award.
