Prior to joining Campbells, he was a solicitor in the commercial litigation group at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Melbourne, Australia. During his time at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, George gained experience in Court processes and understanding clients’ commercial priorities.

  • Acted for a stockbroking firm in a multimillion-dollar claim in the Federal Court of Australia against former employees for theft of confidential information.
  • Acted for a law firm in proceedings regarding an unlawful mortgage lending practice under which an estimated $100 million of investment funds were misappropriated.
  • Acted for the Australian Competition and Consumer law regulator to secure substantial penalties in a misleading and deceptive conduct proceeding in the Federal Court of Australia.
  • Acted for a publicly listed packaging company in a $100m+ proceeding in an Australian state court regarding environmental consultancy advice, achieving a pre-trial settlement.
