Campbells advises R2 on strategic investment from Ant Group

Campbells is pleased to have advised R2, a Latin American embedded-lending FinTech, on its strategic investment from Ant Group, a global digital payments and FinTech platform.

The transaction involved the sale of a majority stake and simultaneous equity issuance, to enable R2 to scale its infrastructure and expand access to responsible credit for underserved SMEs across Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Brazil. The Campbells legal team was led by Simon Thomas and Sayak Bhattacharya. R2 was represented by Greenberg Traurig LLP.
